Welcome to the Yukon Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal (WCAT) web site.
We have developed this site to provide Yukon workers and employers ready access to information that may directly affect them within the appeal process. Our site should assist those who are considering an appeal of a decision of the Worker’s Compensation Health and Safety Board that affects them. (Notice of Appeal Form)
Since the tribunal’s inception in April of 2000, we have issued written decisions on matters brought to us through the workers’ compensation appeal process. We include in the site copies of all tribunal decisions to the date of query. The data base is in the Adobe .pdf format and is searchable.
Rules governing the appeal process and other functions of the tribunal have been written to ensure that our internal processes are open and accessible. We include copies of Rules of Procedure governing injured worker and witness travel; conflict of interest and disclosure; and Rules of Procedure for Hearings before WCAT.
We have provided a brief history of the tribunal, its composition and our mandate. Finally, we include links to other workers’ compensation appeal tribunals and boards in Canada.
We sincerely hope that this site serves our client groups well. Should the user experience any difficulties while visiting the site, please contact us immediately.
